Whitstable

We’ve always planned on going somewhere exotic for our 15 years anniversary – or at least that was the plan. however, when you throw a cheeky toddler into the equation, things tend to change… so we opted for a local getaway instead, and was searching for a place that will be perfectly close to home in case something goes wrong… after all, it’s the first time since Oliver was born that he was left with his grandparents so the boy & I can have some much needed “us” time!
The place we chose was Whitstable – a tiny sea side village in Kent, which had this very peaceful vibe to it, and those perfect sunsets I’ve longed for so much. I knew we chose wisely when the first thing that greeted me upon arrival when I nipped into a funky looking candy store – was the glorious sounds of Band Of Horses‘s new album which I literally play 24/7 lately…. this must be fate, I thought to myself.
The week that followed was nothing short of amazing. We stayed in a little quirky cottage with the sea right in front of our door, which was like a dream for me. the weather was crazy-beautiful and ever so changing, and we’ve got a handful of sunsets to send us swiftly to sleep. the village itself was packed with the cutest most unique little stores (which reminded me of Brighton a lot – minus the herd of tourists) and there were so many good places to dine at, we’ve had a hard time choosing!
All in all we’ve had the best anniversary getaway and my camera was working extra time as usual, so here’s a little taste of our week by the sea :)

These photos are absolutely gorgeous. Just my blogging curiosity, but what are your margins? I just wondered, because the pictures are large and yet there is plenty space left on your site. Found you via StumbleUpon.
