Wanderlust

NOVEMBER: Turned 30, finally got my long anticipated British citizenship, spent the entire month in Israel, travelled the country, slept in strangers beds, laughed until my stomach hurt, got some ink under my skin, drove for hours, resisted temptation, gave and received the best of hugs, precious time spent with family & friends, finished 6 rolls of film, ate amazing Israeli food, got a bit too emotional over things I shouldn’t have, watched the sun dive into the ocean heroically every evening, had my house burgled, drank more coffee than I’m legally allowed, was surrounded by more cats than legally allowed, dreamt about death, appreciated being alive, made peace with the universe.

& returned to the UK just in time to play in the woods on these magical nature made carpets of leaves.

I’d have to go with the unicorn then.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnpkelly] Well, you either hire a unicorn to assist you and get all this magic done, or….
you use a tripod, a remote control, and a handful of patient because you gonna need A LOT of it while having a go at nailing the focus over and over again :)

Awesome shot, great tones. Naive question from someone who doesn’t take many self portraits: how do you nail the focus with such narrow DOF? Assuming you were alone….

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/333bracket] LOL! Good one. I hope the color won’t be next to be discontinued. I like the Fuji 100C too. Saw the Polaroid camera and thought you shot with instant film. I have a similar camera, the Polaroid 100. I use both Fuji 100C and 3000B film.

You better buy some Fuji 3000B before it’s gone. It’s discontinued!
